Dr. Hansen

Dr. Lisa Hansen is a graduate of Ross University and licensed veterinarian who has been practicing in the Austin area for over 16 years. She first started her career in Bastrop Texas where she practiced small animal medicine and surgery. In 2014, she opened a small animal hospital, Pfennig Lane Animal hospital, in Pflugerville, Texas. While leading as the medical director at Pfennig Lane, she enjoyed serving her community and providing quality medicine to the local shelter, rescues and of course her amazing clientele.

In 2022, Dr. Hansen sold her cherished clinic to allow for more time with her true love, her family. Dr. Hansen, her husband & best friend, Jason, and their three beautiful kids (Jackson, Samuel and Abigail) enjoy exploring the great outdoors. They spend a lot of their family time splashing at the lake, going for a hike, skiing down scary mountains, playing soccer and taking family trips.

As Dr. Hansen has settled into her new work-life balance as she continues to pursue her passion in veterinary medicine. She currently has a specialty practice, Lonestar Veterinary Services, in Austin where she dials in on her interest in soft tissue cosmetic surgery. In her free time, she continues to seek opportunities within her community to meet new people and share her skill sets as a relief veterinarian. Her passion for veterinary medicine and desire to help all things big or small has driven her for continued success in the industry of veterinary medicine.

If you are in need of relief veterinary services, Dr. Hansen is more than happy to assist your team. She has a special interest in surgery, internal medicine, diagnostics (including ultrasound and radiology), behavioral medicine as well as preventative/wellness care. She truly enjoys educating clients, ensuring that they are confidently providing their much-loved pets with the proper care they need to yield a happy and healthy lifelong relationship.

Dr. "T" Menn

'Dr. T originally hails from the Midwest, where growing up on a hobby farm instilled in her a lifelong love for animals and a passion for veterinary medicine.

She attended Butler University for her undergraduate studies and gained professional experience for two years before pursuing her veterinary degree. She is a proud 2023 graduate of the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine.

While Dr. T previously focused on beef cattle in South Dakota, she also dedicated herself to caring for her producers' pets. Engaging in mixed animal practice in Texas has reinvigorated her passion for treating all 'four-legged friends.' She particularly enjoys client education and collaborative care. Although she is happy to see all patients, both large and small, she particularly enjoys cattle and small ruminant (goat and sheep) medicine. Her special interests range from establishing herd health through nutrition, vaccination, and deworming protocols to reproductive management, including syncing protocols, breeding soundness examinations, pregnancy checks, and dystocia management.

In her spare time, Dr. T enjoys reading, playing volleyball, and exploring all that Texas has to offer with her husband and their two dogs, Pooka and Hoku.'

Autum Dallman

Veterinary Nurse

I have always wanted to work with animals from a very young age. Fast forward to becoming an adult, I was given the opportunity to work as a veterinary nurse and I fell in love with it! A dream finally coming to fruition! I love being able to be a voice for the voiceless, and to advocate for my patients. It brings me joy to be able to nurse an animal back to health.

My absolute favorite party of my job? Dentistry! I love to see the immediate change in pets' smiles after a dental cleaning. I enjoy educating clients on the effects bad breath or poor dental health has on the body over all, not just the oral cavity. Our pets tolerate so much without being able to tell us that owners will see a completely new pet once the burden of oral pain has been resolved. I also enjoy educating my clients on dentistry and preparing preventative care plans that work best for each pet and owner.

I am currently enrolled in school and working towards my LVT. I plan to specialize in Dentistry and spread my enthusiasm for pet care with others in the field of veterinary medicine. My biggest goals in life are to perform a dental prophylaxis on a lion, and to cuddle an otter. I currently have 4 pets of my own: 3 cats: Punkin, Mister Pickles and my tripod Athena; and my redbone coon hound, Red.

Ki'era Clay

Veterinary Nurse

Ki'era is a ray of sunshine and has been making a difference in both animals' and people's lives for the last 5 years through veterinary medicine. Her passion to help animals and educate the community started early in her vet med career when working at the Austin Zoo. She was a zookeeper, providing both education to  and enrichment for the animals. Ki'era's desire to be more hands-on and make a direct impact on patients' well-being led her into small animal practice. Working in a small animal practice provided additional insight and education that she has been able to share with clients alike, improving their domesticated pets well-being through preventative wellness in addition to medical and surgical management. After some time in a small animal practice, Ki'era found herself gravitating towards mixed animal medicine, with continued opportunities to provide medical and surgical care to a wider array of species. The learned experience and exposure to many species over the years have continued to fuel her passion to improve the well-being of all species in the animal kingdom. While Ki'era's inherent passion is to manage both large and small exotics,  she continues to thrive on the skills and education obtained through AusTexVet's mixed animal practice.  Ki'era is currently working to further develop her skills and education in veterinary medicine so that she can continue to pursue her pirations of becoming certified in zoo medicine and conservation.
